DE(MONSTER)ATE is an exploration of media theories that investigate the complex relationship of identity and technology. The narrative is rooted in Donna Haraway's quote, "These boundary creatures are, literally, monsters, a word that shares more than its root with the verb to demonstrate. Monsters signify." The book features work that forecasts the symbiotic entanglements of humans and technology. The project includes a traditional book with a companion digital chapter.

BRAND IDENTITY2019
Club Transmediale is a music and visual arts festival held in Berlin, Germany. It is dedicated to electronic arts and music, as well as the diverse range of artistic activities in sound and club cultures. The festival takes place over 10 days of events throughout Berlin in nightlife venues, galleries, as well various other locations.

SPECIES INSTALLATION
VR/SPATIAL2019
Species is the proposed spatial component of the Club Transmediale branding. The installation uses VR and architectural displays of the participant’s headset to create a generative AD campaign. The campaign is to be displayed throughout Berlin. In the VR experience the three typographic forms are reimagined as living digital species. Using A.I., the forms are giving their own set of unique behaviors. The participants experience is made further immersive with a reactive VR audio component.

FUTURE CREATORS

Future Creators is a Google sponsored project at the Art Center College of Design. The project uses an ever-expanding array of Extended Reality (VR/AR/MR) technologies — spatial sensors, photogrammetry, motion capture, controllers, and displays — to interweave the digital and the physical, and imagine new hybrid tools for the future creators of 2023. With partner, I prototyped and designed an AR program and online creation and distribution platform working closely with an Adult Swim Costume Designer as our use case.

DIGITAL MOLD
BRAND IDENTITY/AR2018
The title Digital Mold refers to the consumption of the physical space into the digital world. The installation will use AR & photogrammetry in a staged area to articulate this relationship. The initial phase will focus on the documentation of walks around Los Angeles. Utilizing social media photos submitted of spaces during the walks, 3D digital molds will be made to create a parallel AR space for participants to experience.
